ImoOnline Job Training Center, Located Inside AICE, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria
ImoOnline is a
youth entrepreneurship development program for Nigerian youths.
The program was
developed in 2003 to provide information technology training,
business development services, and career mentoring for youths.
The program is independent and expected to be self-sustainable.
To realize these objectives the program, in
partnership with the United States Government through its
Nigerian-American Information Initiative (NAII), Government of
Imo State, Nigeria, and Alvan Ikoku College of Education (AICE),
Owerri developed a job training center, located
inside Alvan Ikoku College of Education fully
equipped with 40 computers, Internet connectivity, and
multimedia training tools.
Currently, services provided by the program for
youths include:
Job & Skill Training
Information Technology Training
Certification Examinations
Professional Mentoring
Business Development Services
Internet Access
Website hosting
e-village ( a forum for information sharing for
youths)
e-journalism for aspiring journalists and
columnists
Young Professionals Network (YPN)
